Working hours: Minimum 35 hours per week, working a minimum of 40% across each month in the Territorial Headquarters, London, SE5 8FJ.

Are you passionate about delivering exceptional procurement solutions in the IT and digital sector? The Salvation Army is seeking an experienced IT Procurement Specialist to manage complex and high-value procurement activities and tender projects for our General Indirect category. This role is pivotal in ensuring value for money, maintaining ethical procurement standards, and securing fit‐for‐purpose suppliers and contracts to support the diverse needs of our organisation.

Reporting to the General Indirect Category Manager and accountable to the Head of Procurement, you will be part of a dynamic team committed to upholding the reputation of The Salvation Army through diligent and responsible procurement practices.

  • Deliver comprehensive IT and digital procurement services, leading high‐value tenders for optimal value.
  • Uphold ethical supplier management and safeguard reputation through strong contract oversight.
  • Assess commercial drivers within the portfolio, challenging procurement processes as needed.
  • Develop business cases and governance papers, presenting to senior stakeholders when required.
  • Execute assigned savings programmes, drive cost reduction and supplier improvement initiatives for best value.
  • Manage supplier relationships, contracts, and complex negotiations to secure favourable terms.
