We are looking for an IT Project Administrator to join our IT Projects Unit. This is a varied, hands-on role supporting the team responsible for delivering IT projects across The Salvation Army in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland.
About the role; You will provide high-quality administrative and coordination support across a portfolio of projects. By maintaining accurate information, coordinating reports and governance activities, organising project documentation and building effective relationships, you will help our Project Managers focus on successful project delivery.
In addition, the role offers the opportunity to work with colleagues at all levels of the organisation, as well as external suppliers and service providers. Your contribution will help ensure that The Salvation Army gains maximum value from its investment in technology
We are looking for someone who will bring:
- Strong administrative experience, ideally gained within an IT environment or another large and complex organisation.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Experience of drafting documents, arranging meetings, managing inboxes, collecting and maintaining data, responding to queries and processing documentation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical processes and information clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- A collaborative approach and the confidence to develop effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders at different levels.
- A solution-focused mindset, with the ability to review existing processes and suggest practical improvements.
- Experience of supporting or contributing to the successful delivery of projects.
- Good written and spoken English, together with the numeracy skills required for the role.
- The ability and willingness to work within, and be sympathetic to, the Christian ethos and values of The Salvation Army.
Experience of IT project management, or a recognised qualification such as PRINCE2, would be advantageous but is not essential
