The Salvation Army is recruiting an Assistant Head of Community and Membership - Community & Events. This critical role will ensure that The Salvation Army maintains and increases its impactful presence as one of the top ten charities in the UK, and as a worldwide Christian Church that puts belief into action.
As the Assistant Head of Community and Membership - Community & Events you will work alongside the Head of Community & Membership Fundraising to drive the strategic development and delivery of a national fundraising programme and fundraising appeals, that grow income from individuals and organisations. You will be responsible for expanding and innovating our Community & Events portfolio, ensuring we broaden our reach, diversify our supporter base, and inspire deeper, long-term engagement. In addition, you will manage a team of three staff responsible for actively ensuring sustainable long-term income for The Salvation Army.
Working with colleagues and Officers from across The Salvation Army you will help drive forward all aspects of community and events fundraising, ensuring our supporters have all the support and resources they need to maximise income.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Substantial experience of delivering a multi-faceted community and events programme within a complex organisation
- An outstanding track record in a community-based fundraising
- Ability to influence at a senior level and inspire and motivate colleagues.
