Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our clients Finance team. This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end accounts receivable process while actively contributing to process improvement, reporting standardization, system optimization, and automation initiatives. The role will play a key part in acting as a finance business partner to Service and Operations, supporting accurate billing, cash collection, and operational decision-making as well as supporting the go-live and ramp-up of Microsoft Dynamics from a finance perspective.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full accounts receivable cycle, including cash allocation, credit control, and collections
  • Ensure accurate and timely posting of customer invoices, credit notes, and receipts
  • Reconcile accounts receivable ledgers and investigate and resolve discrepancies
  • Monitor aged debt and proactively follow up on overdue balances
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to support timely payment
  • Produce regular AR, collections, and cash-flow reports for management

Reporting, Automation & Standardisation

  • Support the automation and standardization of AR and finance reporting
  • Develop consistent reporting templates and dashboards to improve accuracy and visibility
  • Streamline data flows between systems to reduce manual intervention
  • Ensure reporting outputs are aligned with management and operational needs
  • Support continuous improvement in data quality, controls, and reporting efficiency

Business Partnering Service & Operations

  • Serve as a finance business partner to Service and Operations teams
  • Support accurate and timely billing aligned with operational delivery
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve billing disputes and process gaps
  • Provide AR insights to support operational decision-making and cash-flow forecasting
  • Promote strong cross-functional collaboration between Finance, Service, and Operations
  • Actively support the Microsoft Dynamics go-live and post-implementation ramp-up

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Proven experience in an Accounts Receivable or finance role
  • Strong understanding of AR processes, credit control, and reconciliations
  • Experience working with ERP systems (SAP strongly preferred)
  • Experience with reporting, data analysis, and process improvement
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Confident communicator with the ability to engage with customers and internal stakeholders

Desirable

  • Experience contributing to process improvement or automation projects
  • Exposure to Power BI, Power Query, or finance automation platforms
  • AAT qualified or studying towards ACCA or CIMA
  • Experience working closely with operational or service teams
