We are looking for a UK Sales Manager, particularly experienced in the UK identity market, to join our European sales team. Your determination and leadership shall be essential on your primary objective: Winning the upcoming UK ePassport project. Reporting to the Head of Sales of Europe Region, you shall lead all sales activities and apply your leadership in collaborating with a dedicated and large team with diverse competences (technical experts, pre-sales, legal, project management, finance, customer services, bid management, etc.).
Your main tasks:
- Defining and implementing a winning sales strategy for the UK Passport project.
- Leading all sales activities, to prepare the most favourable conditions to bid and win the UK passport tender.
- Shaping the opportunity / Interfacing with consortium partners & subcontractors and all parties.
- Main point of contact with UK market stakeholders, project partners, consultants and with internal interfaces.
- Promoting Veridos’ and convincing the client and other needed stakeholders about Veridos’ capabilities and advantages.
- Addressing HMPO middle management and executive level and managing relationships.
- Providing regular updates to regional and global sales head and the management board (by reports or presentations).
- Leading contract negotiations in coordination with multi-disciplinary internal resources.
- Once UK ePassport is signed, responsible for managing the customer account in collaboration with the project team.
- Responsible for developing and maintaining HMPO and customer ecosystem, trust and relationships, incoming orders and sales forecasts.
- Building trusted customer relationships.
Your profile:
- You have a strong knowledge or experience in the UK government market. At least 10 years of relevant sales professional experience in the UK public sector, covering the last 5 years.
- Highly appreciated: Good experience in relation to UK Home office and/or HMPO.
- Understanding of the identity / document market.
- Experienced with former UK ePassport project.
- You maintain a solid network within/around Home Office and/or HMPO.
- You have a completed technical or business college or university education as well as technical and business consulting skills, coupled with a high level of customer orientation.
- Your work style is characterised by autonomy, goal-driven and a high level of proactivity, a convincing appearance and very good communication skills.
- Your leadership capacity will allow you to work within multi-discipline team working.
- You have an entrepreneurial personality, think and act across departments and impress with your high level of motivation.
- Familiar in delivering powerful messages to and convincing executives, no matter whether internal or external, rounds out your profile.
- You are cosmopolitan and have a high level of intercultural competence.
- A high level of resilience completes your profile.
- This position requires a minimum 30% willingness to travel in the UK or in Europe.
