We are a Staffordshire-based Managed Service Provider delivering IT support, cybersecurity, and telecoms to small and medium businesses across the region. We look after everything from day-to-day helpdesk queries to full infrastructure projects, and we pride ourselves on being the IT partner our clients actually want to deal with, not just the one they’re stuck with.

We’re looking for someone with a genuine gift for dealing with people, who wants to build a career in IT. You might currently be working in retail, hospitality, a call centre, front-of-house, or another customer-facing role and you’re ready for something more technical, but you don’t want to lose what you’re already good at. This is a junior, entry-level role. We’ll train you on the technical side. What we can’t train is how you make a customer feel when their computer’s on fire and their patience is gone—that’s what we need you to bring on day one.

You’ll split your time between remote helpdesk support and travelling to client sites across the West Midlands and Staffordshire for onsite installations, repairs, and hardware setups. A driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • First point of contact for client support requests by phone, email, and ticketing system
  • Troubleshooting everyday IT issues: PCs, laptops, printers, network connectivity, Microsoft 365 accounts
  • Travelling to client sites for onsite work: new PC/laptop setups, hardware installs and repairs, network equipment, office moves
  • Building and configuring new starter equipment before deployment
  • Logging all work clearly and consistently in our PSA/ticketing system
  • Escalating more complex technical issues to senior engineers with a clear, well-documented handover
  • Representing us professionally at every client site—you are often the only face of the company a client ever sees

What We’re Looking For

Essential

  • A track record in a customer-facing role (retail, hospitality, contact centre, front-of-house, field service, etc.)
  • Genuine enthusiasm for a career in IT—self-taught tinkering, a home lab, certifications in progress, or just a track record of picking up tech quickly are all good signs
  • Calm, clear, and friendly communicator, especially with people who aren’t technical
  • Comfortable staying composed when someone is frustrated or under pressure
  • Full UK driving licence and own transport
  • Well presented, reliable, and comfortable representing a company face-to-face
  • Based within a reasonable commute of Cannock, with flexibility to travel to client sites across the region

Desirable (not required—we’ll teach this)

  • Basic familiarity with Windows, Microsoft 365, or general troubleshooting
  • Any IT-related coursework, certifications (e.g. CompTIA A+), or personal projects
  • Experience handling equipment carefully (deliveries, stock, tech setup, etc.)

What You’ll Get

  • Full training and mentoring from experienced engineers—a genuine route into a technical IT career
  • Support towards industry certifications as you progress
  • A small, close-knit team where your work is visible and valued
  • Mileage covered for client site travel
  • Salary: £23,000-£26,000 depending on experience
  • 20 days holiday plus the 8 UK bank holidays, and your birthday off if it falls on a weekday

If you’re brilliant with people and ready to learn the technical side, we want to hear from you—even if your CV doesn’t currently have IT anywhere on it.
