As the Global Solutions Architect, you are the technical leader behind our most strategic and complex platform engagements. This is a high‑impact role in which you will own the technical narrative. From de‑risking integrations and leading high‑stakes Proofs of Concept (PoCs), to establishing deep credibility with partner engineering teams and executive stakeholders, you are the bridge between commercial ambition and technical reality. You won’t simply support deals – you will shape them. You will define the global standards, reference architecture, and technical playbooks that will be deployed across regions and markets, ensuring consistency, scalability, and technical excellence worldwide. After an initial ramp period, you will hold technical sign‑off authority for strategic integrations and PoCs, acting as the ultimate technical decision‑maker for our most critical enterprise opportunities. This is a Hybrid role with three days per week in our Newcastle, Winnersh, Manchester or London Office.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical strategy for enterprise Embedded Services engagements across global markets
  • Own and articulate the technical narrative in complex, multi‑stakeholder sales cycles
  • Design and validate scalable, secure integration architectures for Tier‑1 banks, fintechs, and SaaS platforms
  • De‑risk enterprise integrations through architectural review, discovery, and structured solution design
  • Lead high‑stakes Proofs of Concept, ensuring technical viability and commercial alignment
  • Establish deep credibility with partner engineering teams, CTOs, and senior executive stakeholders
  • Define and document global reference architecture, integration standards, and reusable technical playbooks
  • Provide technical governance and sign‑off for strategic integrations and PoCs
  • Partner closely with Enterprise Sales, Product, Engineering, and Delivery teams to align ambition with execution

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience architecting enterprise‑grade integrations or embedded financial platforms
  • Strong understanding of API ecosystems, cloud architecture, security, and scalability considerations
  • Experience working with Tier‑1 financial institutions, fintechs, or enterprise SaaS environments
  • Proven ability to operate confidently with senior technical and executive stakeholders
  • Deep technical credibility combined with commercial awareness
  • Ability to translate complex architecture into clear, compelling business narratives
  • Experience leading PoCs and validating integration feasibility in high‑value enterprise deals
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to define global standards and frameworks

This role sits at the intersection of product, sales, and engineering. It ensures that Sage's enterprise Embedded Services ambitions are not only commercially compelling but technically world‑class. You will help build the global architecture framework that enables Sage to scale securely and consistently across major financial ecosystems. Your decisions will directly influence enterprise partnerships, global standards, and the long‑term credibility of our Embedded Services strategy. If you are ready to combine deep technical expertise with enterprise commercial impact – and to define the architecture behind global financial partnerships – this is your opportunity to lead at the highest level.

Benefits

  • Generous bonuses and pension scheme: Up to 8% matched pension contribution plus 2% top‑up by Sage
