SNF needs a volunteer Associate Director to lead Risk, Assurance & Resilience. You’ll manage our internal risk profile, maintain key assessments, and help ensure our controls and quality approach keep pace as the charity grows.

What difference will you make? You’ll strengthen SNF’s resilience by reducing avoidable risk and ensuring our work is consistent, controlled and credible. Your input will protect our volunteers and service users, support strong governance, and give SNF the confidence to grow safely while maintaining quality and trust with partners and supporters.

What are we looking for?

  • Structured, calm and hands‑on, with strong attention to detail and good judgement
  • Confident writing and maintaining risk assessments, working with policies, controls and assurance processes
  • Experience in risk management, governance, quality, compliance, audit, HSSE or operational assurance
  • Reliability, forward planning and the ability to simplify complexity

What will you be doing?

You’ll own SNF’s internal risk assessment process, risk register and quality assurance approach. You’ll create, review and update assessments, track controls, and work closely with governance and policy colleagues to keep documentation current. You’ll plan ahead for emerging risks, upcoming changes and growth impacts, helping SNF stay resilient, consistent and well managed as we expand.
