About The Running Channel

We’re a fast-growing, multi-platform media brand for runners, by runners. From social clips and YouTube documentaries to real‑world activations and podcasts, we make content that inspires and connects the global running community.

Role Overview

As the Marketing Executive, you will work alongside the Marketing Lead to design, build and execute all marketing and brand campaigns across official TRC platforms. You will play a crucial role in the tracking and monitoring of all content, reporting back to the wider team on key learnings to support in overall TRC growth. Your work will ensure that The Running Channel continues to engage with our audience in fresh and exciting ways.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead on the ideation, creation and optimisation of the packaging (titles & thumbnails) for all long form YouTube videos
  • Use live data and analytics from published YouTube videos to make informed decisions and changes to packaging to boost performance
  • Channel management: uploading and scheduling all long‑form and short‑form content across YouTube, IG, Facebook and TikTok
  • Tracking and monitoring the performance of all content, including inputting weekly stats into key documentation and sharing learnings across the whole business
  • Support the Social Media Content Creator with social ideation and analytics to report on what’s working and what isn’t
  • The ability to build and execute marketing campaigns, alongside the Marketing Lead, which drive brand growth and supporting conversions for The Running Channel Club
  • Preparing and scheduling posts and articles for YouTube Community, Facebook & Strava
  • Adopt TRC tone of voice and build an online persona through community management (responding to comments, DMs etc) and writing creative caption copy for social posts
  • Occasionally assist the Social Media Content Creator at TRC events, as well as capturing and posting content live across stories
  • Build, optimise and send all email marketing campaigns, including monthly newsletters
  • Collaborate with the Commercial Lead and Account Manager to ensure that all client campaigns are executed in line with the brief and that appropriate stats are shared to support in building wrap up reports
  • Have an eye across all paid media campaigns run under the TRC brand and have a key role in the development and execution of TRC‑specific paid media marketing

  • A passion for content and an understanding of the content marketing landscape
  • A passion for YouTube content and a keen eye for what makes a good title & thumbnail
  • Email marketing – knowledge of CRM systems is preferable.
  • Attention to detail
  • Proactive and forward thinking – not afraid to present ideas to the Senior Leadership Team
  • A team player who’s not afraid to help across multiple departments when required
  • Effective communication both with internal and external stakeholders
  • Time management
