About the Role
To drive showroom and trade sales by delivering a premium, consultative client experience while developing new business opportunities and strengthening existing relationships. The role is responsible for managing the full sales cycle, from prospecting and quoting through to delivery and after-sales service, ensuring targets are achieved and exceeded. Working collaboratively with the wider team, the role supports regional sales strategy, maintains strong CRM discipline, and ensures the showroom presentation reflects the brand’s luxury positioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect, develop and manage a client base to deliver sales that meet or exceed your established budgets.
- Quickly gain a strong knowledge of The Rug Company products, designers, and custom capabilities.
- Deliver a premium, consultative sales experience for clients visiting the showroom or over the phone.
- Drive new client relationships and nurture existing relationships with regular communication.
- Drive showroom sales to meet and exceed monthly and annual targets along own personal targets.
- Create Sales Quotes and Invoices.
- Manage all aspects of the sales cycle and order process including tracking the order through production, coordinating delivery as well as managing any issues during or after installation.
- Oversee after-sales service to ensure repeat business and referrals.
- Manage pipeline activity, monitor KPIs including average order value and client acquisition/retention.
- Maintain showroom presentation to reflect brand positioning.
- Oversee visual merchandising, coordinate product launches, ensuring sample presentation are accurate and aligned.
- Proactively grow trade and B2B accounts.
- Ensure CRM system is up to date with accurate client records.
- Provide requested reports to Management.
- Contribute to marketing initiatives.
- Work with the SVP of Sales to develop and execute regional sales strategies aligned with company objectives.
Key Skills and Qualifications
- Proven sales management experience in an inside/outside sales role within the luxury furnishing and design industry.
- Ability to think creatively to sell solutions and win business.
- Commercially astute and strong analytical skills.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office systems, previous experience on SAP and Pipedrive would be desirable although training will be given.
- Result driven with strong accountability.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced team environment.
- Strong self-reliance with the ability to problem-solve and make independent decisions in line with The Rug Company’s policies and procedures.
- Timely and thoughtful follow-up in creating and maintaining strong relationships with client base.
