We are seeking a talented and experienced Assistant Food & Beverage Manager to join our family! In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing all food and beverage operations, ensuring exceptional service across a range of offerings including fine dining, breakfast, afternoon tea, bar service, room service, private dining, and events. This position will be reporting into the Food & Beverage Manager.
Location: The Rubens at the Palace Hotel
Working pattern: full time / 5 days on 2 days off

The Rubens at the Palace Hotel, part of the Red Carnation Hotels, is a stunning five-star property located in the heart of London’s Victoria and within walking distance of Buckingham Palace. This wonderful hotel has been fully refurbished and features 161 individually designed bedrooms and suites, as well as a range of Food and Beverage outlets including The English Grill Restaurant, The Curry Room Restaurant, The New York Bar, The Palace Lounge and Champagne Bar, as well as 9 well-equipped function rooms.
Key Responsibilities of an Assistant Food and Beverage Manager:
- Day to day operational management of Food & Beverage team.
- Responsibility for managing department payroll, holiday and sickness in line with hotel budgets.
- Responsibility for department employee training and development plan including quarterly 1-2-1’s for every employee.
- Implementation of Forbes 5-star product and service standards across all operational areas, including employee uniform standards.
- Management of stock and stocktakes.
- Ensuring that all agreed standards and SOPs are kept updated and being followed including mini bars, in room beverage trays and specific guest amenities.
- Managing the Food and Beverage outlets, including restaurants, bars, room service, banqueting and events.
