Temporary Picking and Packing Operatives Wanted. Various Shift Patterns Include:
- 1 Day Shift - Monday to Friday - 8am to 5pm
- 1 Night Shift - Sunday to Thursday - 5pm till job finished
Overview:
- Packing all items into racking and warehouse storage facilities as they come in on trucks, lorries, vans.
- Picking any stock items required for delivery to clients, based on product code, quantity, and service level agreement response time.
- You can be lifting, shifting, and moving items up to 25kg, using pallet trucks for larger items.
- You will need to ensure the right products and quantities are picked and packed first time, so that orders do not need to be re-worked, this is to reduce errors in order, and to ensure an efficient and effective process.
- You must be able to work in a physically demanding job and be able to work until all orders are completed.
Pay: You will be paid between £12.71 and £12.97 per hour depending on the shift worked. Shifts can vary depending on the number of orders to pick/pack. All wages are paid 1 week in arrears, and you will be paid as a PAYE employed member of staff. We will assess all applicants.
Requirements:
- Previous picking and packing experience is essential.
- Fluent in English (written and verbal) due to health and safety and order picking requirements.
- Must be able to work a full shift which could last 8 to 11 hours.
- You must live in the Southampton, Redbridge, Totton areas and be able to get to the location either by car, motorbike, push bike, scooter.
- You will be expected to work the weekly shifts that you are booked into, and we cannot offer multiple vacancies on the same shift pattern.
There is always the potential for reliable picker packers to be considered as on-going temporary workers after the initial weekly trial has been completed, and we have had candidates taken on as full-time permanent employees after 12 weeks.
