How you’ll contribute to our mission

Working in a fast-moving environment the Electrician will be responsible for the maintenance and repairs of electrical installations across RZSS. Some of the things you’ll do:

  • Working with direction from the Facilities Operations Manager, take the day to day lead to ensure all assigned repairs and projects are delivered effectively, safely, on time and to budget.
  • To supervise sub-contractors of your own trade and ensure that they complete works to a suitable standard. Assist in arranging access for these sub-contractors and highlight any unsafe practices to senior management.
  • To be the responsible person for all electrical installations ensuring their day to day safety for staff and visitors.
  • Undertake all forms of Electrical maintenance work, e.g. (heaters/lighting) electrical fault finding.
  • Maintain all relevant record systems, inspections and testing in line with legislation for park and building and infrastructure.

What we’re looking for:

  • Relevant experience in electrical maintenance and installation of electrical systems.
  • Trained and competent on 17th/18th Edition BS 7671 requirements.
  • Electrical maintenance, repair and replacement of emergency lighting systems.
  • Up-to-date knowledge and understanding of basic building related H&S legislation.
  • Working knowledge of the risk assessment and method statement processes.
  • Relevant electrical maintenance experience, power and lighting, clear understanding of H&S regulations.

  • Starting pro-rated salary of £28,037 or £28,738 (offer based on experience) with future salary progression up to £31,250 per annum.
  • 37.5hr working week (may require some weekend working).
