How you’ll contribute to our mission
Undertake project and programme analysis activities related to the delivery of digital and IT projects in support of the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland’s (RZSS) vision and mission. This is a Fixed term, Full time role (37.5 hours per week usually Monday - Friday), expected to last for 6 months, will be based at Edinburgh Zoo but includes some travel to Highland Wildlife Park.
Some of the things you’ll do:
- Assists and contributes to the delivery of digital and IT projects, being primarily focused on a programme of works and projects to migrate the charity to the cloud.
- Liaises with staff in department teams to understand their current processes and operations, and delivers solutions in line with the projects/programmes required outcomes and success criteria.
- Conducts analysis of existing processes and user requirements using various techniques including workshops, 1-2-1 interviews, and surveys from business stakeholders to define the scope and use cases for the cloud migration programme.
- Contributes to the preparation, co-ordination and execution of cloud migration project tasks.
- Monitors progress and outcomes of key project/programme processes, reporting success and failures promptly to stakeholders.
- May act as the primary point of contact for internal queries related to projects/programmes being undertaken.
What we’re looking for:
- Degree level or equivalent level IT qualification or experience.
- Understanding and co-ordination of activities to define and monitor project/programme scope.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with colleagues throughout RZSS and with third party partners and suppliers.
- Accuracy and excellent attention to detail with a structured approach to tasks.
- Previous experience of project delivery in a large organisation, across multiple disciplines and departments.
- Experience using Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel).
