Position Summary
We're seeking a Chartered Planner to serve as the Complaints Investigator, leading the Institute's work on professional ethics and supporting the Conduct and Discipline Panel.
Key Responsibilities
- Advising and supporting members in understanding and adhering to the Code of Conduct.
- Conducting initial assessments of complaints and recommending whether they should proceed to investigation.
- Investigating cases of alleged misconduct.
- Providing proactive guidance and training on ethical conduct.
- Supporting the Conduct and Discipline Panel in determining outcomes and appropriate sanctions.
- Promoting professional ethics both within the Institute and more widely.
Qualifications and Experience
- Town planning or law qualification.
- Experience working in the planning profession.
- Understanding of professional conduct and ethics in planning.
Work Flexibility
Flexible remote working options (home, London, Cardiff or Edinburgh) with a handful of face‑to‑face meetings in London. Contracted weekly hours are flexible.
