The Opportunity
We're looking for an Internal Audit Manager (12-Month FTC) to establish and embed the RSA's internal audit function.
Reporting to the Head of Governance & Risk, you will develop and deliver a risk-based audit programme, provide independent assurance on governance, risk and controls, and support continuous improvement across the organisation.
This role is based at RSA House, London, with a minimum of three days per week onsite and hybrid flexibility for the remainder.
What You'll Do
- Establish and deliver the RSA's internal audit programme.
- Conduct audits across governance, finance, technology, operations, fundraising and commercial activities.
- Evaluate risk management processes and internal controls, identifying practical improvements.
- Produce clear audit reports and present findings to senior stakeholders.
- Support assurance reporting to the Executive Team, Audit & Risk Committee and Board.
- Build trusted relationships and promote a collaborative, value-adding approach to internal audit.
- Contribute to organisational effectiveness through continuous improvement initiatives.
Who You Are
- Knowledgeable in governance, risk management and internal control frameworks.
- An effective analyst and problem solver with strong communication skills.
- Comfortable working independently and helping establish new ways of working.
- Able to balance constructive challenge with a collaborative and pragmatic approach.
- Key Experience
- Experience in internal audit, external audit, governance, risk management or financial assurance.
- Experience producing balanced recommendations and influencing stakeholders.
- Ability to provide practical assurance and support organisational improvement.
