About Us
The Royal Parks (TRP) is a charity created in March 2017. We manage over 5,000 acres of diverse parkland, rare habitats, and historic buildings and monuments in eight Royal Parks across London. These are Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, The Green Park, St James’s Park, The Regent's Park and Primrose Hill, Greenwich Park, Richmond Park, and Bushy Park. We also manage other important public spaces, including Brompton Cemetery and Victoria Tower Gardens. Our eight Royal Parks and other iconic green spaces are among the most visited attractions in the UK, with tens of millions of visits every year.
We are now looking for a Senior Project Manager - Security Coordination Project to join us on a full-time, 12-month fixed term contract.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced project management professional with operating model design experience to join our prestigious organisation. You will have the chance to take on this vital piece of work, coordinating across workstreams to ensure TRP has a sustainable, compliant, and effective security model in place. The Role
In this pivotal role, you’ll take the lead in delivering a high-impact project that will shape the future of TRP’s security landscape. As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead project planning, governance and stakeholder engagement. You will have to maintain detailed project plans, risk registers and budget, as well as coordination work across workstreams. You’ll manage two main workstreams of work, which include the strategic operating model and supporting the Charity’s preparation for Martyn’s Law. This is all enabled by people, legal, communications, and estates.
Additionally, you will:
- Manage the development of security capabilities and partnerships to ensure an effective and sustainable security framework
- Assess the impact of security changes on TRP’s organisation and estate, ensuring compliance with licensing and protective security requirements.
- Oversee staff training, external engagement, communication strategies and other business change to support the transition
About You
To be considered as a Senior Project Manager, you will need:
- Experience of managing projects from concept to delivery
- Experience of developing operating models
- Experience of managing projects with significant business change
- Experience of managing external relationships and senior internal relationships
- The ability to prepare clear budget plans and reports
- Excellent communication, negotiation and listening skills
- Good report writing and analytical skills
