Overview We are now looking for a Records Manager to join us on a full‐time, permanent basis, working 36 hours per week. Due to the nature of the role, you will be required to be on‐site three days per week. This is a fascinating opportunity for a records management professional with strong knowledge of compliance legislation to join our iconic and heritage‐rich organisation. You\’ll take centre stage in preserving the past and shaping the future, managing information that spans centuries of history and supporting the day‐to‐day operations of some of the UK\’s most loved green spaces, all while helping to protect their legacy for generations to come. With hybrid working, beautiful surroundings, and the chance to shape how we manage and protect our organisational knowledge, you\’ll have the chance to make a lasting impact in a role that blends purpose, history, and innovation.Responsibilities Implement our data retention policyMaintain and update the Information Asset Register with key stakeholdersOversee the disposal of records not selected for preservationAdvise on records aspects of projects and business casesReview historic records, and work with The National Archives to preserve valuable information for the futureThis role may involve carrying files and bags of shredding waste and managing shelving space.Qualifications FOI practitioner certification or qualified through experienceSubstantial knowledge of Public Records and Freedom of Information legislationA sound understanding of Records Management principles, compliance laws, digital archiving and best practiceExperience of designing and implementing records management strategies and systemsExperience of using IT systems for managing information (particularly M365 and Content Manager CRM)Experience of influencing, relationship‐building, and training colleaguesHigh attention to detail and strong organisational skillsAbout Royal Parks The Royal Parks (TRP) is a charity created in March 2017.
