About us

The Royal Parks (TRP) is a charity created in March 2017. We manage over 5,000 acres of diverse parkland, rare habitats and historic buildings and monuments in eight Royal Parks across London. These are Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, The Green Park, St James’s Park, The Regent's Park and Primrose Hill, Greenwich Park, Richmond Park and Bushy Park.

We also manage other important public spaces including Brompton Cemetery and Victoria Tower Gardens. Our eight Royal Parks and other iconic green spaces are among the most visited attractions in the UK with tens of millions of visits every year.

We are now looking for an IT Technical Support Engineer to join us on a full-time, fixed-termbasis, working 36 hours per week.

The Role

As IT Technical Support Engineer, you will workclosely with the IT Service Delivery Manager toprovide effective technical support to colleagues across The Royal Parks, helping to ensure that IT services and end-user technology are reliable, secure and well supported. You will provide first and second-line technical support across Microsoft 365, end-user devices, networking and associated IT services, escalating more complex infrastructure issues where appropriate.

This is an exciting opportunity to be a key member of the IT Operations Team, delivery robust and reliable IT services. Due to the nature of this role, you will be required to be on-site 4 days per week.

About You:

  • Relevant IT qualification, apprenticeship, or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience of administrating a Microsoft 365 environment, including Exchange
  • Experience of providing customer-focused first and/or second-line IT support in an organisational environment, and of using an IT service management system to manage incidents and service requests
  • Good communication skills with an ability to simplify technical terms into more user-friendly language
  • Experience of administrering Windows Server services and features, and of supporting Microsoft Teams including Teams Phone, Teams-enabled meeting rooms and associated collaboration services
