As a Graduate Landscape Architect, you will support the design and delivery of landscape projects across a variety of sectors, including public realm, residential, education, infrastructure and environmental enhancement schemes.
The Royal Parks (TRP) is a charity created in March 2017. We manage over 5,000 acres of diverse parkland, rare habitats and historic buildings and monuments in eight Royal Parks across London. These are Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, The Green Park, St James's Park, The Regent's Park and Primrose Hill, Greenwich Park, Richmond Park and Bushy Park. We also manage other important public spaces including Brompton Cemetery and Victoria Tower Gardens. Our eight Royal Parks and other iconic green spaces are among the most visited attractions in the UK with tens of millions of visits every year.
The Role
As a Graduate Landscape Architect, you will support the design and delivery of landscape projects across a variety of sectors, including public realm, residential, education, infrastructure and environmental enhancement schemes. You will contribute to all stages of the design process, gaining valuable experience in landscape design, technical detailing, planning applications and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of landscape designs from concept to detailed design stages
- Produce high-quality plans, graphics, presentations and technical drawings
- Undertake site appraisals, surveys and landscape assessments
- Support the preparation of planning and tender documentation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients and stakeholders
- Attend site visits and project meetings
- Contribute to project delivery while meeting quality, programme and budget requirements
About You
To be considered as a Graduate Landscape Architect:
- You will be a recent graduate or early-career landscape professional with strong design instincts, good technical skills and enthusiasm for heritage landscapes, biodiversity and sustainable design
- Strong design, graphic and presentation skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A collaborative and proactive approach to work
