About Us
The Royal Parks (TRP) is a charity created in March 2017. We manage over 5,000 acres of diverse parkland, rare habitats and historic buildings and monuments in eight Royal Parks across London: Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, The Green Park, St James’s Park, The Regent's Park, Primrose Hill, Greenwich Park, Richmond Park and Bushy Park. We also manage public spaces including Brompton Cemetery and Victoria Tower Gardens. Our parks are among the most visited attractions in the UK with tens of millions of visits each year.

The Role
As a Records Officer, you will support the development and care of a structured archive of both physical and digital records. You will review, evaluate, catalogue and preserve materials of potential historical significance, ensuring their appropriate retention or secure destruction. Working closely with the Senior Information Governance Manager and Records Manager, you will help prepare records for transfer to The National Archives in line with legislative requirements and promote the Royal Parks Archive across the organisation.
- Assist in developing and maintaining an archive of physical and digital records
- Review paper and digital records not selected for the National Archives but of potential organisational value
- Assess materials marked for destruction, ensuring retention of items of interest
- Prepare records for secure destruction where appropriate
- Support the transfer of both paper and digital records to The National Archives
- Engage stakeholders and raise awareness of the Royal Parks Archive
- Adhere to organisational policies including data protection, security, equality and diversity, and health and safety
- Undertake additional duties as required

- Able to work independently, manage workload and use initiative
