We manage over 5,000 acres of diverse parkland, rare habitats and historic buildings and monuments in eight Royal Parks across London.
These are Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, The Green Park, St James’s Park, The Regent's Park and Primrose Hill, Greenwich Park, Richmond Park and Bushy Park.
We also manage other important public spaces including Brompton Cemetery and Victoria Tower Gardens.
Our eight Royal Parks and other iconic green spaces are among the most visited attractions in the UK with tens of millions of visits every year.
We are now looking for an Operations Manager to join us on a full-time, permanent basis, working 36 hours per week.

The Role
As the Operations Manager, you will work very closely with the General Manager of the venue to ensure that the programming of the courts and pitches and customer service across the operation is delivered consistently and that the revenue targets are achieved across the sports areas of the business.
The business already has high occupancy throughout the year with leagues, tournaments, coaching, block bookings, holiday camps, clubs and casual use so this role is mostly about delivering a great customer experience and ensuring user groups from the whole community have access to what they offer.

- Ensure the tennis, sports and kids programming and clubs are optimised and that all booking procedures are followed
- Work with the General Manager to review and enhance all programming to reflect the needs of the whole community
- Lead and develop a team of Recreation Assistants and front-line staff
- Day to day management of the centre, typically working opposite shifts to the GM
- Lead responsibility for health and safety when on shift
- Rota management and ensuring effective staffing for key events and competitions
- Address and resolve customer complaints in person and on email.
About You
- To be considered as our Sport & Leisure Operation Manager, you will need:
- Managed a large team in a high footfall sports, recreation or leisure operation, possibly as a Senior Duty Manager, Operations Manager, Front of House Manager or Sports Programme manager.
- Experience in sports and/or kids activity programming.
- Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
- The flexibility to work a mixture of shifts including 7am starts, 9pm finishes and working every other weekend.
