The Organisation

The Royal Parks (TRP) is a charity created in March 2017 that manages over 5,000 acres of parkland, historic buildings and monuments across London’s eight Royal Parks and other public spaces.

The Role

As Senior Events & Ceremonials Manager you will be at the heart of complex, multi‑agency operations, leading planning, readiness and on‑the‑ground delivery of high‑profile ceremonial events. Primary focus will be on St James’s Park, coordinating ceremonial activity for major public events such as:

  • Trooping of the Colour
  • Remembrance Sunday
  • State Occasions

You will work closely with partners including government departments, police and other statutory agencies to ensure safe, seamless and high‑quality delivery.

About You

  • Proven experience delivering major events or ceremonies in a multi‑agency setting
  • Strong operational planning and decision‑making skills, particularly in live environments
  • Experience working with statutory authorities (e.g. police, local authorities)
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • A solid understanding of event safety, licensing and compliance
  • The ability to lead teams, coordinate resources and stay calm under pressure
