We’re looking for the most committed, creative, driven and brilliant person we can find; you will need to be fast, focused and consistent. Situated in the heart of Saundersfoot, the Royal Oak is a firm favourite amongst locals and holidaymakers. We’re one of Pembrokeshire’s oldest surviving watering holes – a modern British pub steeped in Welsh heritage. From fresh seafood to favourite pub foods, we care about offering good food made from the finest seasonal produce. We have a well established, excellent reputation and we’re looking to push this even further, and become a 'must go' place to eat in Pembrokeshire. Would you like to help us get there? The ideal Sous Chef will be a well organised & strong person, able to develop new menus alongside our Head chef. The Sous Chef will need to be able to maintain the smooth running of the kitchen. We are looking for someone on a Senior Level, experienced within the role in a similar environment - it is essential to be experienced with fresh & seasonal produce and have a stable career path.

The role and responsibilities...
- Deputising in the absence of the Head Chef
- Preparing, cooking and presenting foods to an excellent standard
- Menu planning and costing
- Purchasing and control of all food and non-food kitchen items
- Ongoing training of the team
- Delegating and supervising staff
- Maintaining H&S, Food Hygiene including HACCP standards and procedures
- Promoting all aspects of our food business
