Main Duties of the Job
You will deliver a professional and efficient service, ensuring information is handled accurately, confidentially, and in accordance with Trust policies. The role requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities while providing exceptional customer service. Bank administrative workers may be placed in a variety of roles and departments, including Medical Secretary, Receptionist, Administrative Assistant, Facilities Administrator, Booking Coordinator, Personal Assistant, and other administrative support positions. Duties vary depending on the assignment and Agenda for Change banding.
Detailed Responsibilities
- Provide high‑quality administrative, clerical and secretarial support to a range of clinical and non‑clinical departments across the Trust.
- Manage appointments, diaries, meetings and room bookings, ensuring efficient organisation and coordination of activities.
- Maintain accurate records, databases and electronic systems, ensuring information is entered, stored and retrieved in a timely and confidential manner.
- Prepare, collate and distribute documents, reports and other administrative materials to support departmental operations.
- Ensure compliance with Trust policies relating to data protection, confidentiality, health and safety, equality, diversity and inclusion, and customer service excellence.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and provide flexible administrative support to meet changing service needs.
Person Specification
Education / Qualifications
- Educated to GCSE standard (A‑C) or equivalent to evidence reading, writing and oral communications for duties of the role.
Desirable Criteria
- Evidence of further professional development.
- Experience in office administration in an NHS setting.
