An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Private Patient Billing and Credit Control team as a Consultant Account Specialist. The successful applicant will require strong communication skills and possess a methodical approach to query investigation and process improvement.

They will be responsible for managing a portfolio of Consultant billing accounts, ensuring that strong working relationships are developed and maintained with all service users. Responsibilities include:

  • Managing a portfolio of consultants
  • Account setup and maintenance
  • Billing accuracy investigation
  • Query management
  • Debt escalations of consultant billing activity

The post holder will work independently in a pro-active manner to maximise the activity on the account by effectively managing the development of their portfolio to ensure billing and debt targets are achieved whilst engaging with, supporting and partnering with the Consultants using the service.

The post holder will develop relationships across the Private care directorate and work collaboratively with these teams to develop the Consultant billing offering, ensuring all KPIs are achieved. They will also lead and monitor the business critical professional fees payment processes each month, assigning duties across teams to ensure the accurate download, reconciliation, comparison and calculation take place for presentation to senior management for authorisation prior to submission to SBS.

They will be responsible for ensuring payments are processed successfully, efficiently and accurately.
