Responsibilities:
- Recruit, educate and monitor patients entering clinical trials.
- Provide advice and information to patients and act as their advocate.
- Maintain accurate records of data derived from research studies.
- Ensure safety of patients and adherence to ICH Good Clinical Practice guidelines.
- Coordinate arrangements for patients undergoing specialist investigations as part of the protocol.
- Assess patients prior to trial treatment, monitor during treatment and follow up after completion as required by protocol.
- Collect and accurately record data in accordance with protocol requirements.
- Participate in design and preparation of research protocols, patient information sheets and other documentation, ensuring they are reviewed and updated.
- Safeguard trial integrity by ensuring compliance with ICH GCP guidelines.
- Be involved with the running of several concurrent research studies.
Requirements:
- Interest in clinical research nursing and/or oncology.
- Flexible approach to duties and ability to work both as part of a team and independently.
