Responsibilities include working with other trainees and staff in clinic, theatre, and on the wards to facilitate smooth and continuous service delivery as well as maximise training. The role may require deputising for absent colleagues and performing additional duties in emergencies and unforeseen circumstances to ensure continuity of patient care. There are no on-call commitments, but there may be scope for individual arrangements.

Job Overview: This post is designed to provide a senior surgical trainee with the opportunity to extend their training in specialist breast diagnostics, oncology, surgery, and oncoplastic techniques. Applicants must have a sound knowledge of breast disease management with appropriate breast oncological surgical skills. The postholder will be expected to work alongside the Breast Consultants and support the other middle grades and nurse practitioners. Applicants must have full registration with the GMC and hold FRCS or equivalent.
