The Clinical Genomics laboratory at the prestigious Royal Marsden is at the forefront of innovation and research in the North Thames Genomic Laboratory Hub. As one of the seven national Genomic Laboratory Hubs in England, we’re leading the way in Cancer Genomic testing.
Responsibilities
The post-holder will be responsible for managing the development and delivery of a number of strategic clinical projects, including, but not limited to:
- The delivery of technology and operational projects across genomics, consisting of a complex set of sub-projects, supported by an experienced subject matter expert. You will report activity, progress, risk and issues to appropriate project governance meetings.
- Delivering projects on time, to budget and to agreed quality standards that meet business needs. The appointee will liaise with the key stakeholders, working closely with other Programme and Project Managers and Workstream Leads.
- The post-holder will be expected to play an integral role in the Genomics strategic programme delivery roadmap and Prioritisation, with an emphasis on the delivery of the initiatives that will support the strategies across the NTGLH, the RM Clinical Genomics unit and the Trust.
- The role requires a professional project management approach that involves considerable responsibility for coordinating business-critical clinical initiatives in accordance with customer needs, supplier capability and national and local standards and requirements. In addition to Project Management skills, the Project Manager will have skills in one or more of the following areas:
- Project assurance/evaluation
- Stakeholder engagement
- Testing and systems quality assurance
- Service mapping and redesign
