About the role: As the PR and Communications Officer, you will support the Senior PR and Communications Officer to raise awareness of the Charity by identifying and promoting compelling stories to regional and national media. Working closely with colleagues across PR and Communications, clinical teams, Fundraising, Marketing and Digital, you will help to showcase the Charity’s impact on people affected by cancer in the UK and around the world, while supporting fundraising activity across all income streams.
With support, you will use your communications skills and expertise to write content for relevant in-house magazine titles and help promote community fundraising and major donor events, corporate partnerships, and fundraising campaigns.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting a comprehensive media service which includes the proactive sell in of positive stories.
- Building relationships with clinical colleagues and in particular, Charity-funded consultants, nurses, researchers, and allied health professionals to gain their support for Charity communications.
