The Royal Kent School is a happy and high achieving one form entry primary school in Oxshott, Surrey. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our friendly team. This role will involve assisting the class teacher with the development and education of the children in their class as well as supporting children with Special Educational Needs. The role will also include some lunchtime supervision duties.

This is a temporary appointment which will be reviewed prior to the expiry of the contract with the possibility of extending although no guarantee can be given.

Hours: Wednesday to Friday, 8.40am – 3.15pm, term time plus 3 INSET Days.

  • What we are looking for:

  • GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above.
  • Experience of working with children with special educational needs, although not a pre-requisite
  • A proven ability to work on own initiative.
  • A high level of communication skills and the ability to relate positively to children and adults.
  • The ability to use relevant technology/equipment.
  • A can-do attitude
  • The desire to contribute to a dynamic and inspiring school environment
  • A commitment to the happiness, well-being, self-esteem and progress of everyone at the school.
