What We Are Looking For
We are looking to appoint a Warehouse Operative on a fixed‑term contract to assist in the planning and delivery of RIAT 26.
Your Main Responsibilities Will Include:
- Work alongside the established Ground Operations team to deliver the World’s greatest airshow.
- Receive and check deliveries against paperwork, reporting discrepancies or damage.
- Log all incoming goods and safely unload vehicles using approved equipment.
- Keep delivery areas clear, safe, and well organised.
- Store and stack goods safely in designated areas.
- Maintain accurate stock records and support stock checks.
- Label and organise items for easy identification and access.
- Deliver goods from the warehouse to reception and other departments.
- Ensure items are logged, handed over correctly, and transported safely using appropriate equipment.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and follow manual handling procedures.
- Keep walkways and emergency exits clear and maintain safe storage practices.
- Report hazards or unsafe conditions immediately.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and obstruction‑free warehouse.
- Dispose of waste and packaging correctly and support recycling processes.
- Assist with the build and recovery of the Showground as required.
- Follow all health and safety policies and wear required PPE.
- Participate in safety briefings and help maintain safe working practices.
- Help set up storage areas and temporary stock locations.
- Support logistics tasks for other departments and complete additional duties as directed.
Contract & Working Hours
FTC 05/05/2026 until 14/08/2026: 36.25 hours per week. Based in Fairford, Gloucestershire. All employees are required to work the Saturday or Sunday before the Royal International Air Tattoo and the whole weekend of the event. RIAT Weekend Date: 17th-19th July 2026.

About You
We are seeking a Warehouse Operative with 5 GCSEs (or equivalent), a full UK driving licence, and a forklift licence. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, be confident working collaboratively within a team, and demonstrate the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast‑paced warehouse environment. Warehouse experience is essential, and RIAT knowledge or experience is desirable. This role requires someone proactive, organised, and committed to supporting efficient day‑to‑day operations.
