The Master of the Household\'s Department handles everything involved in the official and private entertaining across all the Royal residences. Joining our small and dedicated Palace Attendants team, you’ll be part of the team that creates the first impression for any visitor or guest to the Palace.
Key Responsibilities:
- An intrinsic part of the role is to carry out physical tasks, maintaining the presentation of the site internally and externally, ensuring everything goes to plan behind the scenes.
- Whether you\'re setting up for a department meeting or arranging the state rooms for thousands of visitors, you\'ll support the smooth daily running of a working palace.
- You\'ll also make sure that every item is in place and presented to its very best, moving furniture and carpets along with the extraordinary works of art and priceless antiques.
- Assisting the wider team with the official and private entertaining, you\'ll be inspired and supported to deliver to exceptional standards in all that you do.
- On hand to assist the wider hospitality team with their delivery, you\'ll be guided and supported to achieve the highest standards in all that you do.
Whilst you will be predominantly at Buckingham Palace, you will have the opportunity to assist in other royal residences as required.
About you
Essential Criteria:
- Previous experience is not necessary for this role as training will be provided, but you will be interested in working as part of a professional hospitality operation.
- You’re a natural team player with the ability to communicate and work well with all kinds of people.
- Your keen attention to detail and good time management skills will make you an asset to this team.
- You clearly take care and pride in your work and your flexible approach means you pro-actively get involved in a varied range of tasks.
- Friendly, outgoing and professional, you\'ll be confident communicating and working effectively with all kinds of people.
- Good timekeeping and planning skills will be important, and you can be relied upon to manage a daily workload to meet regular deadlines.
