In this role, you’ll join a close knit and committed team who deliver our staff catering to the highest standard.

Key responsibilities
  • As part of a customer‑facing team, you’ll provide a professional and welcoming service across catering facilities, including our employee lunch service and Café.
  • You’ll help ensure food is delivered, correctly displayed, stored and rotated, and replenished efficiently throughout service.
  • You’ll also prepare and deliver refreshments for different events, ensuring all requirements are ready on time.
  • You’ll assist with receiving deliveries, carefully checking that orders, deliveries and delivery notes are accurate and complete.
  • You’ll also work in the staff café, where you’ll prepare hot drinks and snacks, handling all cash and card payments.
  • Although based at Buckingham Palace, you’ll also work at other Royal residences throughout the year, with some overnight stays required; live‑in accommodation is available if needed.
  • You will be required to work 5 days out of 7, with some morning, evening and split shifts.
Qualifications
  • You might already have some relevant customer service or catering experience, but it’s not essential as our excellent training will provide you with all the skills you need.
  • You’re well organised with strong time‑management skills, able to prioritise tasks and keep services running smoothly.
  • You’re a confident communicator with a friendly, approachable manner, comfortable engaging with a wide range of people.
  • You’re a natural team player, happy to get involved, use initiative and work with your colleagues to achieve a smooth daily service.
