About the role: It’s supporting the team to deliver extraordinary events. It’s the sheer variety of the challenges you’ll face and it’s providing the support that can push things forward. Leading Events and supporting the wider Master of the Household’s department, you’ll be involved in the many remarkable and varied activities that take place across the Royal Household and have responsibility for Events from day one.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide world class Event Management leadership and support to all events hosted by The King and Queen and other Members of the Royal Family.
- You’ll be at the heart of a team delivering a busy calendar of Royal and Internal events, and you will plan accordingly to ensure they run to time.
- Lead the end-to-end logistical planning of events, including detailed timelines, task delegation, and responsibility breakdowns for all key stakeholders.
- Ensure every logistical aspect is meticulously planned and executed to the highest standard.
- Represent the Royal Household in communicating with a wide range of external stakeholders in the lead up to events, including senior stakeholders, showcasing exceptional professionalism at all times.
- Exercise excellent leadership skills to manage and optimise resources to help foster a culture of operational excellence in which tasks are executed punctually and cost savings and efficiencies are made.
- Keeping up with a busy and ever-changing schedule will be critical.
- You’ll play a vital role within the department, effectively communicating event information to the operational teams and wider stakeholders across the Household.
- Whether you’re helping to co-ordinate a small board meeting, a Royal dinner for two hundred or a Reception in Windsor Castle for four hundred people, you’ll guarantee the highest standard of creative delivery.
About you:
Essential Criteria:
- You’ll have expert project management and organisational skills and excellent analytical and problem-solving aptitude.
- Track record of delivering high profile, creative and dynamic events whilst thriving under pressure and navigating an unpredictable and fast paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication drafting, briefing and presentation skills, the ability to absorb and rapidly assimilate often complex and nuanced material, communicate a large volume of information succinctly and meticulous attention to detail.
- Adept at influencing and negotiation with internal and external stakeholders.
- A real team player, you’re able to work flexibly and effectively even when things get busy.
- With the ability to think quickly on your feet, you’re equally comfortable working independently.
Desirable Criteria:
- Operational and customer service experience working in a hospitality environment which delivers events to the very highest standards and have a good understanding of end-to-end Food and Beverage processes.
