The Learning department develops enjoyable and accessible programmes that support the charity's aims for learning, engagement and audience development.

Joining this talented team, you'll be responsible for producing our programme of informal learning activities, creating meaningful opportunities for adults to connect with the Royal Collection and royal residencies, and their histories, helping to broaden participation and reach new audiences.

Please note: The successful candidate will be able to work from either London or Windsor. This role will involve regular travel between London, Windsor and Edinburgh to support programme delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• You'll develop and deliver high-quality informal learning programmes across London, Windsor, Edinburgh and online, ensuring activities support organisational objectives and departmental targets.
• Producing engaging programmes and multi-session events, you'll create learning experiences that showcase the Royal Collection, royal residences and temporary exhibitions.
• You'll identify, engage and supervise external subject specialists, creative practitioners and freelance educators. You'll support their performance and ensure a consistently high standard of delivery.
• Working with Learning, Curatorial and Conservation colleagues, you'll translate specialist knowledge into accurate, engaging and accessible content for a wide range of audiences.
• You'll contribute to the promotion and evaluation of programmes by preparing content for marketing activity, gathering audience feedback and using insights to continuously improve learning experiences.

And in everything you do, you'll champion inclusive and accessible learning, supporting the department's ambition to engage underrepresented audiences while ensuring every programme delivers a memorable and meaningful visitor experience.

About you

Essential Criteria:

• You'll have experience developing and delivering learning programmes, audience engagement activities or interpretive content for adult audiences within a cultural, heritage, educational or visitor-facing environment.
• Experienced in coordinating projects and events, you'll be confident managing multiple activities simultaneously while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
• You'll have experience supervising colleagues, volunteers or freelance practitioners.
• You'll have a strong interest in and knowledge of fine and decorative arts, architecture, heritage or cultural history.
• A passionate communicator, you'll be able to transform specialist knowledge into accessible and engaging content that inspires curiosity and participation.
• You'll be confident using audience feedback and evaluation data to inform programme development, measure impact and improve future activity.
• A collaborative team player, you'll enjoy working with experts across departments, cultivating a culture of shared knowledge and skills, that will in turn enhance the Learning offering to the public.
