Join The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo as an Events Coordinator in a fixed term, parental leave cover role for a minimum of 12 months. This is a full time role (35hrs Mon-Fri), standard week plus peak periods of event delivery including evening and/or weekend.
Job Purpose Summary
The Events Coordinator reports to the Senior Events Manager in the preparation and delivery of the Concert series and the Tattoo. Leads on Event specific administrative support, coordinates with venue, production, logistics and technical teams to ensure collaborative and coherent performance delivery of the Tattoo and other events. The Events Coordinator also works closely with the Senior Venue Manager to ensure event requirements are delivered within the Venue.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed event timelines and operational plans while coordinating with internal teams and external partners to ensure readiness across all departments.
- Engage partners in the development of venue plans and identify the appropriate supporting services necessary to maximise venue success.
- Manage the delivery of venue support services to optimise venue operations.
- Operate the venue in accordance with the Tattoo’s policies and procedures while remaining agile to adapt to changing industry standards.
- Oversee the application of venue licences and governance requirements in accordance with operator and industry standards.
- Deliver services and resources on time and within budget.
- Support the selection and training of a strong seasonal event team able to execute Tattoo plans with confidence and in synch with industry standards.
- Support the Senior Events Manager in planning and delivery of the Concert series through client management and on the ground support.
- Support the multi-agency approach to venue safety contingency and technical planning.
- Support the collection of data to help shape future venue planning.

Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills. Excellent time-management including a strong commitment to meeting deadlines. Proficient user of MS office software. Proven experience within large scale events delivery. A commitment to and understanding of The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo’s beneficiaries and stakeholders. Proven experience in a logistics, procurement, or administrative organisation field. Health and Safety practitioner. Experience of using project management tool, Asana.
