Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh is looking to recruit an additional administrator for our dynamic People & Organisational Development team.
In this role you will provide administrative support for key HR-related processes, including on and offboarding staff, contract and reference management, recruitment and training administration, plus of course keeping our people databases and filing systems accurate and up to date, along with a variety of other general administrative duties.
Applicants should have previous administration experience, ideally gained within a People team, although that’s not essential.
We’re looking for someone who has strong organisational skills, can demonstrate good attention to detail, and is able to communicate clearly on a variety of people-related matters across the organisation.
You should be self-motivated, with the ability to work autonomously as part of a small team.
Although we see this as a full-time role (35 hours per week) we would also consider applicants looking to work with us on a part-time basis.
If this is your preference please indicate how many hours and days per week you would prefer to work.
As this is a short-term contract we will be looking at applications on a regular basis and may opt to close the application window before the closing date.
Closing date: 12pm GMT on Monday 28 September 2026 For more information including job description, person specification and to apply, please visit our website.
