We have an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join us! This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join our Hospital team.

Main duties of the job:

  • This is a full-time, permanent role with hybrid working, and a salary of £37,676 - £44,811 per annum.

Your role will involve:

  • Provide a professional Occupational Therapy / Reablement Service, including statutory Social Care responsibilities.
  • Contribute to Service delivery that is person-centred and outcome focused with an emphasis on encouraging independence and enabling recovery.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals and agencies to address complex needs and achieve best outcomes for individuals and their carers.
  • Work with health colleagues to ensure safe and timely discharges from hospital and step‑down beds in the community.

Person Specification:

Experience:
  • Experience of working with vulnerable adults.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with clients, families, and other professionals.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities.
  • Experienced in coordinating/liaising with multiple agencies/organisations.
  • Implement evidence-based practice, keeping abreast of emerging research, best practices, and national frameworks (e.g., NICE guidelines).
Qualifications:
  • BSc (Hons) or MSc in Occupational Therapy.
  • Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Membership with the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT).

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
