A key part of your role involves bringing together schools, private, voluntary and independent providers and community partners to create clear, accessible pathways for local families. You will also coach and guide early years practitioners, share best practice, use data to target improvement and champion inclusive practice for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

You're an approachable, warm and solution-focused communicator who knows how to build trust with families from all backgrounds, particularly those who may be less likely to access local services. With experience in leadership or mentoring, you feel confident coaching staff, facilitating multi-agency discussions and managing competing priorities across diverse settings. Most importantly, you're someone with a deep commitment to fairness, empathy and teamwork, ready to ensure every child and family feels supported.
