Location: West Berkshire Community Hospital, London Road, Benham Hill, Thatcham, RG18 3AS.
Unit Overview: The Day Surgery Unit is open 8am – 6pm and offers a dynamic theatre team. The role involves scrubbing and circulating for a variety of specialist areas including Maxillo Facial, Plastics, General Surgery, ENT, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics and Vascular. There will also be the opportunity to work in other areas such as recovery and our Endoscopy area.
Responsibilities: Applicants must be an HCPC registered ODP or a NMC registered nurse with theatre experience. Successful candidates will demonstrate high standards of practice with excellent communication, clinical and decision making skills. You must be able to work under the pressure of a busy high throughput unit.
Qualifications: HCPC registered ODP or NMC registered nurse with theatre experience. Current registered practitioner (RGN or ODP). Evidence of continuing professional development. Demonstrated ability to work within the trust's core values of CARE (Compassion, Aspirational, Resourceful, Excellence).
