Are you an experienced, professional Radiographer with a commitment to high class patient care and the drive to work within a high performing team? If so we invite you to join our friendly and dynamic Radiology Department at the Royal Berkshire Hospital.
Due to expansion of the service, we currently have vacancies for a number of enthusiastic Band 6 Radiographers to work in our CT department. Experience in this modality is desirable, but not essential, as training will be provided. The successful candidate must have at least 2 years experience in radiography post qualification with at least 12 months of working within the NHS.
Our current CT suite has undergone a complete refurbishment within the last 2 years and we have doubled our capacity by installing 4 new Canon scanners. Our department also has a CT scanner at WBCH and Bracknell. With this extra capacity we are looking for Radiographers to support with developing our services to our community.
Applicants must be adaptable and be prepared to work evenings and weekends as part of our seven-day service delivery. This will include night shifts.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential as is the ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced Diagnostic Radiographers who satisfy the essential criteria of the person specification. Candidates must be registered with the HCPC.
Our Radiology department busy, carries out a wide range of general and specialist examinations, including, Plain film, CT, MRI & interventional procedures. We have recently been awarded the title ‘University Department of Radiology’ for our involvement in research and education through the University of Reading.
As a progressive teaching department for radiographers we have established links to universities and actively encourage CPD and role extension, with support available to pursue academic courses and develop your career within a supportive and friendly environment. Our department offers excellent training and development opportunities with funding available for a variety of courses. We currently have staff training in Ultrasound, plain film reporting and PG Cert/Diploma in CT and Health Management as well as attendance on a variety of study days.
