Position Overview

We are pleased to offer this exciting opportunity at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading. We seek a dynamic, confident, motivated, and enthusiastic individual to join our Therapies team as a Senior Physiotherapy Assistant supporting the MSK Outpatients and Orthopaedics inpatient teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage patients safely and effectively under the delegation of Physiotherapists, supporting routine patient care independently.
  • Maintain professional and legal accountability for your work and ensure high standards of clinical practice.
  • Follow Trust and departmental policies, procedures, and pathways.
  • Report patient results and issues accurately to supervising Physiotherapists.
  • Identify and manage clinical risks within your caseload, seeking advice as needed.
  • Deliver physiotherapy treatments in individual or group settings under supervision.
  • Apply manual handling and mobility skills, including safe use of transfer equipment.
  • Assist in discharge planning and liaise with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Support the development of junior Physiotherapy Assistants.
