We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, well-qualified and experienced teacher, committed to enabling students to realise their highest academic potential. The post is, initially, for one year; minimum 4 days and flexible for 5 days. The successful candidate will be an excellent classroom practitioner who will convey an enthusiasm and commitment for his/her subject to the students. Very good organisational and management skills are essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsibilities are subject to the general duties and responsibilities contained in the National Statement of Employment.

Essential criteria:

  • Qualified teacher status as recognised by the Department of Education NI and registered with GTCNI by time of appointment.
  • An Honours degree 2:2 or above in Business Studies or relevant subject area.
  • Experience of teaching Business Studies up to and including GCSE within the last 5 years.

Desirable criteria:

  • Experience of teaching Business Studies up to and including A Level within the last 5 years.
  • Experience of teaching a second subject up to and including GCSE: Economics, History, ICT, English or ANO.
  • Experience of developing employability and entrepreneurship skills.
