RBAI are seeking to appoint an Afterschool Assistant at their Preparatory Department, Inchmarlo, in Cranmore Park, South Belfast. The After School Assistant supports the supervision and care of children in an after-school program. This role involves assisting with activities, ensuring a safe and engaging environment, and helping children with homework, play, and personal development. This role is typically part-time, during after-school hours (2.15-5.30pm Monday to Friday, term time).

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate, fun, and creative activities
  • Assist with the preparation and serving of healthy afternoon snacks
  • Supervise and provide guidance to children while they complete their homework
  • Ensure the play area is kept safe, clean, and organised
  • Foster positive relationships with both the children and their parents
