RAFAKidz Wittering is a hugely popular nursery with a growing waiting list for families to come and join us. The setting has circa 20 colleagues who support up to 99 children, as well as our busy before and after school club. With 5 bespoke rooms, each with its own outdoor play area, our little RAFAKidz family are always busy with picnics, parties and outdoor learning. For every child that comes through the doors of RAFAKidz, no matter their ability, background or circumstances, we provide experiences that will help them be confident and reach their full potential.

About you:

As our Chef, you will have lots of stamina, patience, creativity and imagination with an abundance of great ideas to enhance mealtimes. The key responsibilities of the role include the planning, preparation and serving of age appropriate, nutritious and well-balanced meals and snacks catering for the children's individual dietary requirements and food allergies. You will be responsible for the ordering, control, storage and rotation of kitchen stock and ensuring that you and Kitchen Assistants ensure hygiene and cleanliness within the kitchen is of the highest standard in accordance with Environmental Health requirements and legislation. A minimum Level 3 qualification in food hygiene is an essential requirement along with excellent knowledge of current legislations in Environmental Health and Food Standards Agency.

This post requires a satisfactory, enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check on appointment and every three years thereafter.
