About the Role
Our team of professional Art Handlers provides a wide range of services, including handling, installation, packing, storage, and collection care. We are now looking for experienced Art Handlers to join the team on a Casual basis and support with the install and de-install a range of exhibitions at the Royal Academy, ensuring the utmost care of the artwork and building fabric.
About You
The successful candidate will have substantial art handling experience within a commercial gallery or museum or similar institution. Ideally, your experience will include the care and handling of both contemporary and historic artworks as you will work across all art media. Excellent written English is key, as this role involves extensive documentation for audit purposes, health and safety, and various written reports related to artwork location and tracking. You will be a team player and a strong communicator, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff at all levels across the Royal Academy. Exceptional concentration skills and physical aptitude are also required as part of this role as is a flexible approach to working.
