The Royal Academy of Arts is currently looking to appoint an experienced IT Systems Administrator to join our team on a fixed term contract basis. The IT Systems Administrator will provide technical expertise for IT systems administration and upgrades. This will include installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Windows servers and workstations, both physical and virtual, and software platforms, both on site and in the cloud. This role will also provide third-line support as allocated by the IT helpdesk.
To be considered for this role, you will have substantial experience as a Systems Administrator or in a similar role, with proficiency in operating systems, system administration tools and workstation support. You will have comprehensive knowledge of:
- VMWare
- Veeam
- Office365
- Exchange Online
- Azure AD
- Cisco switches and networking
- Windows 11 workstations
- Server 2016 and onwards configuration and maintenance
- Troubleshooting network issues - TCP/IP
The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, and have an enthusiastic and friendly approach to working, responding to all users in a positive and helpful manner. Availability for on-call support every third weekend from 10am–5pm is required as part of this role.
