Please note this role is for a Maternity Cover and is a temporary contract for up to one yearJob RoleThe Rowans Hospice Charity is an independent organisation offering specialist palliative care to patients with life limiting disease, located in Waterlooville, Hampshire.As a Charity, we offer opportunities for palliative support to patients and their families over an extensive range of in-patient and out-patient services; we pride ourselves on our excellent care for patients, their families, our staff and volunteers. The Hospice is proud to have been rated as outstanding in the latest CQC inspection.Reporting to the Marketing Manager the Marketing Officer role purpose is to support the development and delivery of our charity and hospice marketing and communication activities for Rowans Hospice. Taking the lead on key projects and tasks, whilst providing support and assistance to the Marketing Manager and wider team / organisation for both online and offline activities.Key responsibilities include:To support the Marketing Manager in the development and implementation of data-driven marketing plans for hospice income generation, including fundraising campaigns, events, lottery and retail. Taking the lead on specific planned activities, including hospice-organised events and national awareness campaigns, such as Hospice Care Week and National Legacy Campaigns.To assist in the production of marketing materials and ensure all materials meet brand guidelines and are consistent in their look, feel and messages.To support the development of our in-house direct mail programme, working with team members and external agencies and engaging with key stakeholders. This programme includes: newsletters, cash appeals, prize draws, Light up a Life appeals, Christmas appeals and door drops.To assist in production of all marketing activities across the Charity, promoting services and fundraising activities to individuals, organisations and corporate bodies in line with strategic goals.Support the development of the organisation to maximise the utilisation of new practices and processes.To report on media coverage statistics, review general progress and the success of individual projects and campaigns.To provide support and where appropriate be the project lead for the management and development of Rowans Hospice website. and track and review the success of individual projects and campaigns.To assist in the promotion of the Local Hospice Lottery and all relating campaigns, including Super Draws
- There may be some occasional out of hours activity at fundraising / marketing events (Time of in Lieu will be given)
- A clean driving licence and use of own vehicle is required
