SEN Teaching Assistant – Wolverhampton
Fantastic opportunity for a SEN Teaching Assistant in the Wolverhampton area. U-Educate are currently seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant for general day to day cover and a full time – temporary to permanent role in the Wolverhampton area. The SEN Teaching Assistant role is to start ASAP, ideally in September or October 2023.
Setting
The school is an SEN school which offers specialist provision for children and young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs. There are 3 schools on the site including primary, secondary and a pupil referral unit, they are situated within a unique, urban forest campus, set along a very active Wildlife Centre, with good transport access.
Role
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be at the heart of the school to empower students and create an environment where they can flourish. Your role will encompass a range of responsibilities, this mainly includes:
- Prepare learning materials.
- Adapt teaching support according to student's needs.
- Look after children's physical, social and emotional welfare.
- Create an interesting environment for students.
- Keep records and attend review meetings.
Essential Requirements
- 4 or 5 GCSEs at grades 9 to 4 (A* to C)
- Good knowledge of Special Educational Needs, in particular MLD and ADHD
- Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain a new one.
- Minimum of 2 references including your most recent employment reference.
- 2 Years confirmed reference.
- Legal right to work in the UK.
Hours of work
Full time – Monday to Friday – 08:30 am until 3.30 pm
Daily Rate
£85 - £95.00 Per Day
